Most often when someone thinks of wedding photos, they think of the first kiss, formal photos, and first dance. While each of those are important, there is one thing that often gets overlooked: the details. Brides spend so much time (not to mention hundreds of dollars) putting together the perfect invitations, choosing favors to match the wedding theme, and try on dozens of shoes, but somehow it all seems to get lost in the mix when it comes to photos. These details should never be overlooked, so I ask the maid of honor to gather these details and place them in a basket before I arrive. This allows me to quickly photograph these added memories and then focus more on the gorgeous bride.
A few things to gather:
• Dress (Be sure the tags are removed. Personalized hangers are a great addition!)
• Bridesmaids dresses
• Veil/hair piece
• Invitations/save the dates
• Rings – Most couples are told to hand the rings over to the best man at the start of the day, but it’s actually better for the maid of honor to hold onto them so they can be photographed early in the day.
