I have a private Facebook group for all K. Moss Photography brides which allows them to swap wedding ideas, vent a bit, and ask for planning opinions. Earlier this year, quite a few of the brides mentioned how awesome it would be if they all met up one day. At the time, they were only referring to grabbing dinner at Applebee’s or something similar, but I took it up a notch.
Rather than spending extra advertising dollars on TheKnot or other wedding sites, I wanted to do something for my past and present clients. They have all been so supportive, some referring me for YEARS now and I wanted to have an event for THEM to say thank you.
Client Appreciation was held last Sunday, November 16th, at Goggleworks in Reading. It was my first official K. Moss Photography event, and admittingly I was a bit nervous (okay, maybe a lot nervous).
As each person arrived, they immediately asked if I needed help setting anything up. Despite my saying no, they took it upon themselves to spread out cupcakes, scatter balloons, and unfold chairs. There I was, setting up a party as a thank you, as they continued to show me how incredibly lucky I am to have such amazing clients.
Quite a few clients asked for the name of the bakery I purchased the cupcakes from – how flattering! (I made them)
In the middle of the party, Angela picked up the microphone, calling for everyone’s attention. I was pretty confused since I hadn’t ask her to make any announcements. Moments later, two of my brides walked in holding a birthday cake…for me! I had mentioned on Facebook a week or two earlier that it’d be pretty awesome to have a camera cake for my birthday, not really expecting anything from it. I was floored by all the generosity <3
And gifts? I wasn’t expecting gifts!
Mittens to wear for outdoor sessions – how personal!
Oh, I can’t even handle how thoughtful all of this was!
Thanks to Angela and Jesus for not only providing music, but also taking a few photos during the event (believe it or not, I didn’t take any others!)
I can’t thank you all enough for being so supportive this past year! K. Moss Photography would not have grown this much had it not been for all of you and I never allow myself to forget that <3
I’m already thinking about next year’s client appreciation party, only this time I’m thinking of having a theme. What type of theme do you think would make an awesome event?
