There are probably at least half a dozen things a teenage boy would rather be doing instead of taking time out of his weekend for photos. Knowing this, I was determined to make Grant’s session laid back and enjoyable, incorporating his interests into his Senior session.
As a soon-to-be 2017 graduate of Boyertown High School, we decided to have a few photos taken on the school’s grounds.
The session started out with more formal attire but as soon as Grant changed into street clothes and pulled out his drum sticks, his personality really started to shine.
Soon, we were chatting more about movies, marching band, and his future ahead – all while capturing some pretty awesome photos.
About a week or so after his session, Grant and his mom came into the studio for their first look at the photos. I was thrilled to see Grant make a beeline for the photo wall, so eager to see the photos we made that day!
Boys aren’t usually into the photo thing, so it really meant a lot that he loved the results of his Senior photos (as did mom!)! He especially loved the black and whites, which are definitely my favorites as well.
Photo sessions can sound like a drag when your parents first bring up the idea, but they can actually be fun and relaxed. Grant is perfect proof of that!
