The west coast truly has a beauty like no other place in the country. The breathtaking scenery, amazing weather, perfect light…I’m in love! It’s a complete understatement to say that I was thrilled when Nancy reached out to schedule a wedding session for herself and her new groom, Stephen, in Las Vegas, Nevada!
Although we hadn’t met before and our email exchanges totaled no more than 4, it felt like we had known each other for years. It didn’t take long for Nancy and Stephen to feel completely at ease in front of the camera and despite being in fancy clothes, they were completely up for any ideas I had for them.
As I photographed, I told Stephen to say something a little risqué to his bride. He whispered, “I’m hungry. Let’s get tacos”. Nancy couldn’t stop laughing, making it clear that Stephen excels in bringing out her smile and they were beyond perfect for each other.
There were some rather touristy spots full of crowds at Red Rock National Park, but we found a completely secluded area all for ourselves. Each direction had a completely different view, making it the perfect spot to photograph.
The newlyweds had a few laughs as they watched me try to avoid the various plants (which I quickly found out hurt if you walk into or touch them!)
Nancy and Stephen were married in September, after about six years of dating. Their St. Sharbel Catholic Church ceremony and Chandelier reception were certainly memorable but unfortunately their timeline didn’t have much wiggle room for photos. I am so honored to have been able to spend this time with them during there session and to be able to provide them with photos to display in their home and their first family heirloom, their wedding album.
I am so eager to photograph another Las Vegas wedding in the near future! Aside from getting to see these dreamy backdrops once again, I’ll be looking forward to the opportunity of meeting up with this adorable couple <3.
