It’s so crazy to think that it was over a year ago that Heather and Nick had decided to book me and plan their engagement session. That year included many emails from an excited bride, ready to finally see all her ideas come together. After what probably felt like forever, their wedding day was here!
I was lucky enough to photograph at Capriotti’s for the second time in two weeks. Heather has said so many amazing things about Tom and his staff. Knowing she was in good hands, she knew their wedding experience would be nothing short of amazing.
Heather is in love with purple, so there was plenty of turquoise and purple incorporated into their wedding details. The colors went together beautifully!
Just as Heather was going to put on her jewelry, she was surprised with a set of earrings and necklace from Nick. Shortly after, her father came in for one of most emotional dad-daughter first looks I have ever seen. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Heather and Nick wanted the intimate moment of a first look. This allowed them to truly take in that it was their wedding day and be alone for a bit.
After their first look with each other, they had a first look at their reception room. Heather had wanted to take a peek earlier in the day, but I convinced her that it would mean so much more for the two of them to enter the room together, when it was completed.
Everyone was concerned about an outdoor ceremony in July heat. Somehow we ended up with temperatures in the 70s!
We immediately left Capriotti’s and headed over to Heather and Nick’s property for formal photos. Yes, they seriously live in this gorgeous area!
We left their house with enough time for Heather and Nick to enjoy a bit of their cocktail hour before the reception began.
The evening was filled with tons of happy tears, emotional speeches, and fun dance moves. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the newlyweds were all smiles the entire night <3
