As I rolled my camera case down the driveway, I noticed Samantha’s mom gathering a few last minute things for the ceremony. I could instantly tell that it was about to be a very emotional day.
I made my way into the house and was quickly greeted by excited bridesmaids. Samantha, still sans makeup and hair being turned in crazy ways by Hannah of Shear Crossings, was breathtaking and had gorgeous bridal glow.
As the girls continued getting prettied up, I was given a box of these goodies. I fell in love with Samantha’s and her bridesmaids’ bouquets – they were unlike anything I’ve photographed before. The pearls were a family heirloom, passed down from grandma, and the perfect detail to tie it all together.
Although we’ve been in touch for about a year, Samantha and Victor’s engagement session had been only a few short weeks prior. I loved being able to spend time with them during their “omg-my-gosh-we’re-getting-married-in-a-few-weeks” excitement!
Victor could barely handle the anticipation during the moments leading up to seeing his bride. The moment Samantha began to walk down the aisle, they gazed at each other as though they were the only ones in the room. It’s no wonder that both of their moms were melting! <3
I teared up when I saw this photo and it is definitely is one of my favorite of the day! If I were to show only one photo to describe the emotion of the day, I’m pretty sure this would be it.
After thirty minutes or so, the wait was over – it was finally official! <3.
On the way to Union Jacks Inn on the Manatawny, we stopped at a covered bridge for formal portraits. Sam and Victor were in pure bliss as they snuggled together as I photographed them, still in awe that they were really married.
A short time later, the newlyweds joined their bridal party in the trolley they hired for the day and made their way to the venue to celebrate.
How amazing is this cake topper?! Grandpa handmade it!
This is the first wedding I’ve been to with the Shoe Game and it was definitely one of the best things ever! Guests were nearly falling off their chairs laughing at some of the responses (really, I think I have a photo of dad falling :P). If you’ve been thinking about adding something fun to your reception, consider this game!
As Samantha stepped onto the dance floor with her father, Victor and I wondered who would be the first to shed a tear. Within seconds, we had our answer. I noticed a few guests begin to melt as they watch dad dance with his little girl. I may or may not have teared up 😉
Mom looked like the happiest person in the world as she danced with her son, so proud of the guy he’s become and thrilled to have a new daughter.
All of the work put into this day was certainly worth it! Guests were laughing all night and the newlyweds hardly left the dance floor. Definitely a day to remember forever <3
Which moment during Samantha and Victor’s wedding was most memorable to you?
