Last week I posted the first half of our honeymoon in Arizona and the post was getting way too long! Here’s the second half of our west coast honeymoon 🙂
We spent the night in Utah and made our way to Bryce Canyon. When we first planned the trip, I worried about rain, because who wants to hike around in downpours? The weather ended up being perfect and the skies were clear, so no complaints!
We spent a few hours at Bryce Canyon, then made the 4.5 hour drive (with speed limits of 80mph – total shocker for east-coasters!) back to Vegas to check into our honeymoon suite at Vdara.
During the rest of the week, we checked out a few other places on the strip such as Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef and Mirage’s Secret garden (which I also had free tickets for). We also finally were able to visit the Neon Museum. I have been wanting to tour the museum since our first trip in 2007, but something has always caused them to be closed. I was so excited to be able to finally check the place out!
Being newly married, I was pretty excited when I saw all of the old “M” signs at the museum!
We also rode to the top of Paris’ Eiffel Tower and overlooked the strip. If it weren’t for the fact that there wasn’t a bathroom up there, I probably would have stayed forever.
One of the last to-do things on our honeymoon was to have wedding photos taken along the strip (part two of my “dream wedding”). I am so glad I found Edyta from Exceed Photography! The experience and quality were phenomenal – I didn’t even care that I walked a huge chunk of the strip in heels.
Edyta’s turn around time was super speed and we had such a difficult time trying to decide which photos we wanted to have printed for the wall. Definitely give her a shout if you plan to be in the Las Vegas area and would love to have photos taken along the strip – you will love her!
