Berks County Wedding Photo Session | Cristina & Travis

It’s always so incredibly flattering with a newly-married couple reaches out to me for a wedding session. Whether it’s because they weren’t able to have a professional photographer at their wedding, wanted more out of their wedding photos, or simply wanted an excuse to hop back into their fancy clothes, it means the world when I’m asked to create these memories for them!

Cristina and Travis didn’t have a chance to have professional wedding photos taken when they were married last September. Although they had reached out to me shortly after they became Mr. and Mrs., mother nature started acting crazy, forcing us to delay their wedding photo session until spring. Their rescheduled date ended up working out much better, free of the precipitation and chilling temperatures we had originally scheduled.

Cristina, residing in Canada, and Travis, here in the states, both found themselves at a conference together. They connected and after a whirlwind romance, Cristina emigrated to the States. It goes without saying that leaving your home country is a huge life change, but seeing the way Travis looks at her, I can definitely understand why she would move here!

The two of them together were non-stop laughing and some of the biggest smiles I’ve ever seen! Each time I held my camera up, I thought to myself, “man, they are just so perfect for each other”.

We were mid-conversation and walking when I abruptly stopped and yelled for them to stop. I have no doubts that in the moment they wondered if I was totally crazy, but after I told them to turn around, they knew exactly why we paused. The sunset behind us was absolutely incredibly and there was no way I was going to let them walk on by without taking a few photos (which ended up being their favorites!)

Cristina and Travis, I’m so thrilled that you decide to get all fancy again in your wedding gown and suit so you could have printed memories as newlyweds! Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of this celebration!
