Scheduling the Anderson family’s yearly session was a bit of a challenge this year. The original date we planned on was scheduled the day after we ended up getting a bunch of snow dumped on us, making the Lockridge Furnace Park inaccessible. Mother Nature kept stomping her feet, telling us that she just wasn’t having it! It took another try or two of rescheduling before we finally lucked out with an absolutely gorgeous day.
Danielle had mentioned to me that Emma had been so excited over the past few weeks, constantly chattering away about her upcoming photo session. As soon as they arrived and Emma saw me, I quickly learned that Danielle wasn’t exaggerating at all :). Emma was explaining to her little sister Mia that they were all about to have photos taken and seconds later, she was grabbing my hand and ready to get things started.
The bond between these sisters is so strong and it definitely shows in their photos together. Mia looks up to her big sister so much, she was ready to copy everything Emma did, which resulted in these priceless images.
As soon as the bubbles and tea party set came out, the girls and I were officially bff’s. No lie, Emma’s reaction to the tea set still makes me tear up any time I think about it. These moments are going to live with me for a long time!
To melt my heart even more, Emma shared this at the end of her session. I wish I would have thought to record her a bit sooner, when her words were even more tear jerking!
I’ve been absolutely loving seeing these little girls grow up over the years, their personalities shining even brighter as each year passes. I’m so excited to see what next year’s session has in store for us!
