I began with a 140 sqft space, used for client meetings. A few years later, I moved into a new space of 550 sq. The shooting area was cramped, measuring only about 14×15 feet, which made it challenging to photograph active toddlers, squeeze in families, or even accommodate lighting and props.
For 15 years, I admired other photographers’ studio spaces, dreaming that I’d one day would have a larger studio.
I found a stunning, newly remodeled 3000 sq. ft. space. After carefully weighing the pros and cons, I decided it was finally my time to make this leap.
The spacious 52’x23′ shooting area enables me to photograph babies, children, and families with plenty of room to move freely. This open layout allows for multiple backdrops and setups, providing a variety of looks without the need to change backdrops mid-session.
The naturally lit alcove offers convenient storage for props, seating, and other items used during sessions. It’s ideal for keeping these items tucked away from the main shooting areas.
My Sinking Spring studio is designed to make you feel right at home, so feel free to relax and enjoy your favorite snacks and beverages!
I want nothing more than for your photo session to be a relaxing and worry-free experience.
Being a young girl is tough enough, not knowing exactly when that time of month will make an appearance can make those years even tougher! That’s why the studio will be fully stocked with all the essentials, giving you peace of mind should the unexpected arise.
As your children are being photographed, I encourage you to take a bit of time to relax. Snuggle up on the couch with a soft, freshly laundered blanket, and enjoy a cup of coffee (or another beverage of your choice), as you flip through the tv, maybe catching up on an episode of your favorite show!
Imagine spending all that time prepping for your session, only to go home and view your photos in an online gallery. You squint, as you try to zoom to see details of each photo on your tiny phone. Exhausted, you promise yourself you’ll select your favorites later, when life calm downs a bit. Something will always pop up, and before you know it it’s been a year since your photo session…and you still don’t have a single print for your home!
The benefit of having an actual studio is that I am able to show your images on a large screen and offer guidance in selecting the best sizes for your home. Not only will you not have to guess what size prints to order (my software will show you digital mockups of photos in YOUR home!), but you also will never have to worry about time escaping you and never getting around to making choices. Rather than allowing your photographs to be lost and forgotten on a hard drive somewhere, your printed memories will allow you to forever appreciate these moments in your life.
You won’t have to worry about your kids getting bored while you view and order your photos.
At my Berks County photography studio, there’s a dedicated space just for little ones, a place they can truly call their own, where their imagination can soar, as parents take their time choosing photos.
The fun is endless with multiple toy bins, building blocks, a cozy mini couch, a table and chairs for games, a play kitchen with food, and even a ball pit!
When it’s time to go, you might even find yourself negotiating with them to leave!
It’s no secret that I love the West Coast, and you’ll find touches throughout the studio that reflect it.
These cacti are on display on a low shelf, but no need to worry – they’re not real! Little hands are safe to touch them without harm.
I’m excited to provide a private dressing room stocked with a blow dryer (don’t worry about the rain outside!), a bathrobe to wear between outfit changes, spare brushes and combs, plus other essentials to ensure you’re feeling your best.
You deserve an amazing experience, but even more than that, you deserve to feel confident in yourself. Throughout the studio, you’ll find encouragement and confidence boosters, serving as constant reminders of just how incredible you truly are.
This walk-in closet serves as my backdrop and Studio Closet area.
Dream Dresses adorn half of this storage area, guaranteed to drop any young girl’s jaw as soon as she enters! The selection of design gowns is continuously expanding to ensure girls of all shapes and sizes can be a part of this experience! Regardless of what size your daughter wears, she’ll have a variety of options to select from!
While many love the elegance of the Dream Dress Experience gowns, I know others prefer a more laid-back vibe. The Studio Closet also includes a range of casual outfits for babies, girls, boys, and women!
I refused to let discouragement or setbacks hold me back, even as years went by without achieving my dream. Through determination, continuous effort, hard work, and, most importantly, the support of an incredible husband, I finally reached the place I had always envisioned. Whatever you’re striving for, whatever goal you’re working toward, don’t give up. Your time will come!
